What we hold, and what we never do with it.

Your account. Your email address, your name, and whatever profile details you choose to add — a public name or pen name, a photo, a short bio, and where you write from.

Your writing. Every piece you submit, along with the certifications you accept and the publication permissions you grant — each recorded separately, with the date and the version of the terms you saw.

Your mailing details. Only if you ask to receive Daily Writing Press in the mail: your name and postal address.

Copyright in everything you write remains with you. Submitting a piece does not give us ownership of it — it gives us permission to consider it, and only the specific uses you tick (website, email, digital edition, print, promotional excerpts, or social media) are ever used.

Social media. If you tick the social media permission, a selected piece — or a short excerpt of it — may be posted on Daily Writing Practice social channels, including being read aloud in audio or video. It appears under the name you chose, or anonymously if you asked for that. Leave the box unticked and your writing is never posted there.

Nothing is published without your explicit permission, and you are always told before a piece of yours appears anywhere.

Your postal code is private. It is stored only to help us understand where the community is, and it is never shown publicly — not on the map, not beside your writing, not anywhere.

The community map is opt-in only. If you choose to appear, your pin shows an approximate city or region — deliberately rounded, never a precise point. You can ask to be removed at any time.

• We never sell or share your personal details with advertisers.
• Joining Daily Writing Practice puts you on the Daily Writing Practice list only — never a general marketing list.
• We never publish your email address, street address or postal code.
• We never show your precise location on the map.

Everything you have shared is visible in your account under My Writing, including the status of each piece and where it has appeared.

To correct or remove anything — a piece, a map pin, your mailing address, or your whole account — write to us and we will take care of it. Removal from any future printing is immediate; pieces already in print cannot be unprinted, but they will not appear again.
